Notable healing substances in nature

This Table of Substances contains some of the most researched and referenced anti-cancer substances and their healing properties. While a • indicates that some research has been found to substantiate the claim, I have not examined all the research for validity. If you are interested in something, please conduct your own search with important variables such as cancer type and treatment plan.

Discuss potential drug interactions with your doctor. If your cancer is hormone-positive, please research substances carefully and discuss with your doctor as the role of estrogen and progesterone in cancer can be tricky. Substances may ‘modulate’ as an ‘agonist’ (enhance) or ‘antagonist’ (inhibit) and it may not be imme-diately clear what your situation needs.

“Absence of evidence isn’t evidence of absence”… just because I haven’t put a • in a certain cell does not necessarily mean that there is no relationship between a substance and a property, just that I didn’t find a valid one.

I find it fascinating that these substances, most of which come from nature’s pantry, can be so powerful. There is not one ‘cure’ for cancer here that will cure every kind of cancer (aka a ‘silver bullet’), but it shows how diet can be a powerful tool as an epigenetic life-style factor that can influence the progression of cancer. The effects could be additive… the more of these you ingest, the better to support your healing journey. Notice the rock stars in bold that exhibit every one of the properties. If a substance intrigues you, check clincal-trials.gov to see if there is a clinical trial in place that might apply to you.
